2016 Asquith Big Game

2016 Paintball Action Games Asquith Big Game

Aug. 21, 2016 - Each year the P.A. Predators attend with as many players as we can find and bring (20-50).  The last 6 years has had our field supplying the General of the Green side (the other team is the Red Team).  The last 3 years has been Robbie Gage.  Around 200 players come out to this new, hilly and virgin terrian 40 acre field.  There were 9-10 bases to be captured, with lots of scrub bush, and some real thick trees too.  The hilly nature of this terrian was something new, with rises of up to 70 feet. Players come from across the province and some come from neighboring provinces too.  This event has been going on for over 20 years now.
This year we brought our Mobile Laser Tag Unit (an old Ambulance) and together with our camo tent, was our base of operations.  It always seems to be hot and sunny for this event, and it was hot.  It's a resurrection style play, so when you come off from running out of paint or needing HPA (getting hit, there are respawn spots on the field), it's nice to have someone you know at the HQ tent, to return to the field with.  Good hydration is extremely important, with most of our crew having water bladders.
Most players are here for a good time.  Any mode of fire is allowed, but if you don't want to run out of paintballs quickly, most set their modes to something more reasonable.  It's a long walk back to reload.
